About SCPR:
SCPR Associates was founded in 1988 as a Strategic Communications and Public Relations firm specializing in local political campaigns. As one of the first full-time political consulting firms in South Carolina, the group quickly established a strong track record and one of the highest winning ratios ever.
Established by long-time Republican activist Rod Shealy, the group pioneered a number of successful strategies and tactics, including the "workshop" campaign management concept to bring professional calibre management to lower-budget campaigns, and a number of innovative direct-mail and media concepts.
SCPR also managed a variety of public policy and issue initiatives, and developed a very-successful record of corporate communications and marketing.
In 1989, SCPR branched into publishing, establishing the first of two successful community weekly newspapers in the South Carolina Midlands.
